Things are never what you imagine them to be?....Last Easter weekend the crowd of us(approx 25) went to Berwick for our bi-annual caravan break...and we can fit that many into a caravan at night for our evening get together. We all thought it would be great to visit Alynwick Castle where the castle is used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. To say that the die hard Harry Potter fans amongst were ever so slightly disappointed would be spot on...another bubble bursting moment in my life...anyway this years Easter getaway was to Fleetwood just outside Blackpool. We had promised our 8 year old a visit to the Doctor Who museum in Blackpool, she has to be the biggest fan ever and we have been renting her some of the old Doctor Who's that we watched when we were younger and she loves them just as much as the new series. My husband, my friends husband and I all walked around the displays feeling very underwhelmed at our childhood memories of being terrified of the monsters and this had us laughing out loud and moaning as well about the £20 it has cost us for a family ticket. However I would have paid double or triple that for the look of wonder and excitement on daughter number ones face as she came face to face with monsters and props and got to pretend to be a dalek although she was extremely disappointed not to meet David Tennant!
